Introduction. This work is part of a wider research project that deals with feminine subjectivity from the perspective of psychoanalysis theory and Gender studies. Methodological Design. The objective of this article is to communicate some preliminary conclusions obtained from the analysis of the clinical material collected through in-depth interviews. We used a non-random, accidental sample made up of forty women from the urban middle sectors of the city of San Luis, whose ages range from 42 to 57. The problems analyzed through the study refer to the bond established by the interviewees with their mother as a female model, the qualities of the relationship they maintain with their partners and children, and the meanings they attribute to work, as well as the possibility of elaborating alternative projects in this period of their lives. Results and/or Conclusions. It should be noted that the majority of women in the sample have few possibilities to critically review and reframe the precepts, stereotypes, myths and prejudices built by the patriarchal culture in relation to femininity.
