Alternative Devices to the Madhouse: Structure of a Day Hospital (Province of Buenos Aires, 1985-1994)

This article addresses the structure of the device that defined the day Hospital of the Hospital Zonal General de Agudos "General Manuel Belgrano", between 1985 and 1994. For this, Foucault's perspective on the concept of device allows us to address the different components that constitute this network, among which various discourses and operating principles stand out. For his part, agamben's contributions, make it posible to think about the notions of body and subject in this hospital. the construction of data for the composition of this device starts from the recovery of written sources of the time and interviews with key informants who participated in the experience, from which it is observed a psychoanalytic approach for the treatment of psychoses from the recognition of the particularities that the psychic structure presents.
