The objective of this study is to present characteristics of sexual offenders of a sample of male sexual abuse victims in the center-west of Brazil. A documentary analysis was made based on mandatory reporting of male victims in 2013 and 2014, and the main results found refer to the number of sexual offenders (N = 328), the relationship to the victim (the majority intrafamily), their age (mostly adolescents) and gender (mostly male). Because sexual abuse is a complex phenomenon, it is considered relevant to broaden the understanding about offenders and to include them in public policies and psychosocial care agendas. The provision of specialized care for this population is fundamental to guarantee comprehensive protection of children and adolescents.
