Abstract

Subjective networks are one of the most central topics in Community Treatment. This paper resents basic information about the structural features of personal networks in order to obtain some reference points to describe the characteristics of subjective networks. The second part of this survey presents information of an exploratory study on the structural characteristics of the subjective networks. It was conducted in countries of Asia, Latin America and Europe. The elements gathered suggest that subjective networks can be subject matter to clinical practice in the same way as individuals, couples and groups. The fact that subjective networks are embedded in broader networks makes them an excellent vehicle for inclusion and social participation, thus, ideal within the framework of Community Treatment.
