Existential Psychological Clinic and Suicide and the Debate on whether it is an Act of Violence, Crisis and Unreason

Objective; This article presents an investigation about suicide from a phenomenological-hermeneutical perspective. Methods: It is inspired by the philosopher Martin Heidegger's thought to carry out a phenomenological destruction (Destruktion) of notions commonly associated with suicide, such as: Violence against oneself, crisis and unreason. Likewise, a clinical situation is presented based on daseinsanalyse, which shows how the concrete situation escapes the current scientific postulations, which view suicidal ideation as a symptomatic manifestation of a mental disorder. Conclusions: Suicide can be understood existentially, interspersed with the senses that are present on the horizon of those who think of ending their own life.
