About the Journal
Acta Psiquiátrica y Psicológica de América Latina is a non-profit scientific publication, owned by the ACTA Mental Health Fund Foundation, founded by Guillermo Vidal in 1954, which aims to promote the development of psychiatry, psychology and neuroscience in Spanish and their interdisciplinary relationships, in their various orientations, with the social sciences and their epistemological and methodological foundations.
Since its inception, Acta has constituted a qualified exponent of psychoscientific thought in the Spanish language. The articles are rigorously selected by internal and external evaluators.
It appears regularly four times a year – in March, June, September and December – in printed version (ISSN 0001-6896) and, starting in 2014 and with the same regularity, in online version (ISSN 2362-3829).
Incorporated by CONICET and CAICYT into the Basic Core of Argentine Scientific Journals in the area of Biological and Health Sciences. Indexed in LATINDEX, LILACS, PSICODOC, PsycINFO, ESCI-Thomson Reuters, it appears in such records abbreviated as: Acta Psiquiátr Psicol Am Lat.

A partir de 2025, Acta Psiquiátrica y Psicológica de América Latina se publicará con acceso abierto (dos números de embargo).
